Very little is known about Henry Hudson. But some of the only information known is Henry Hudson was born in 1565 In London, england.Henry Hudson was a famous explorer. You might have heard of Hudson bay or Hudson river.Well he discovered the Hudson bay and Hudson river.In 1607 Henry Hudson and his crew aboard the ship the half moon ventured to greenland. the reason why he and his crew were sail were to find the orient. Henry Hudson's first voyage was in 1607 where he set sail on May 1st and he landed in modern Svalbard on june 14 and sailed back to england. On his last voyage in 1609 he and his crew aboard the discovery found themselves in newfoundland were they met many tribes. Although many tribes were peaceful Hudson and his crew were very hostile to them and pillaged and raided the tribes. In 1610 they found themselves stuck in the winters ice aboard there ship they survived throughout the winter. But in the summer of 1611 Hudson and his son John and seven others were set adrift by the rest of the crew and never seen again. Although Henry hudson was not the first person to discover North America he discovered a whole new world that we know and love.

1607 Henry Hudson's first voyage was when he landed in greenland and sailed further north and discovered modern Svalbard.

1608 hudson is commanded to find a route past the arctic sea north of Russia to the indies the crew almost commits muntiny to Hudson but he is forced to turn back to england because of ice.

1609 Hudson sails under dutch flag aboard the half moon and sails east on top of russia but turns back to the west and lands in modern Maine where he meets indians and trade with them and claims land for Holland in America.

1610-1611 Hudson and his crew go on another voyage to find the indies but get stuck in the winter ice with limited food and being raided by indians the crew has no choice but to mutiny Henry Hudson a and eight loyal crew members and Hudsons son John. Hudson along with the other nine passengers were never seen again.
